The Flyers chose Windsor Spitfires forward Nesbitt in the first round, 12th overall, in this year’s draft. They’re playing the New York Rangers in a two-game rookie series Friday and Saturday in Allentown, Pa. Article content Article content
Hookey signed a two-year contract this summer with Ottawa’s top farm team, the AHL’s Belleville Senators, after his over-age season for the OHL’s Owen Sound Attack. He was a free agent.
The Senators, including Sting alumnus Jamieson Rees, are playing in the Prospect Showdown in Montreal. They face the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday and Winnipeg Jets Sunday.
