A Trenton man has been charged after illegally selling marijuana at his smoke shop in the city, the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office said.

The 32-year-old man is accused of running “Moe Weed,” an unlicensed dispensary on South Broad Street, authorities said.

He was arrested on Sept. 2 and charged with two counts of third-degree distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, the prosecutor’s office said.

The Mercer County Narcotics Task Force, the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice and the Trenton Police Department jointly conducted a two-month investigation.

According to the prosecutor’s office, authorities made multiple undercover purchases of marijuana during the investigation, seizing a total of six ounces with an estimated street value of $2,000.
