MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD) said it has uncovered and seized a significant amount of illegal drugs since the beginning of August.
Since August 1, police said they have seized more than 125 grams of meth, 7.5 grams of fentanyl and heroin combined, two grams of cocaine, and multiple fentanyl pills.
According to police, the narcotics have been found through traffic stops and investigations into suspicious vehicles.
Early Tuesday morning, MSPD said a driver attempted to evade officers during a traffic stop.
Police said the driver eventually entered and was stopped at a dead-end street, where they then ran away on foot.
