Pirates fan Kavan Markwood, who fell from the stands during a game against the Cubs back in April, is finally speaking out about the incident.
Markwood recently spoke with Inside Edition about the fall and what his life has been like since.
“I don’t know how I’m alive,” Kavan Markwood said. “I wake up with pain every day – my arm. I can’t feel my two fingers still. I’m doing better than what I was, that’s for sure."
The former Pennsylvania high school football star fell 21 feet over the Clemente Wall in right field during a Pirates game against the Chicago Cubs on April 30.
The incident occurred during the bottom of the seventh inning on a play where Andrew McCutchen drove in a pair of runs with a double to center to give the Pirates a 4-3 lead.
