AUSTIN, Texas — The Austin Police Department is searching for a suspect related to a traffic fatality that happened in southeast Austin in June, the department announced on Thursday.
On the evening of June 4 , a crash between two sedans and a pickup truck occurred just after 9 p.m. at the intersection of East Ben White Boulevard westbound service road and and East Riverside Drive.
The driver and a passenger that were traveling in one of the sedans were taken to a local hospital, where the driver, later identified as 66-year-old Lisa Gail Cooper, was pronounced dead.
According to APD, the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) was attempting a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle sped away from the area where it was pulled over, causing troopers to lose sight
