Weld County will offer residents an “up-close” look at the community emergency planning process at a public meeting, where resident feedback will also be accepted.
The meeting will take place from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17 in the Events Room of the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O St.
The meeting will mark the end of a process that began in May, with the county and municipalities meeting monthly to provide insight and feedback on Weld County’s multi-jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
“Whenever an emergency occurs, it’s common to ask, ‘Was my community prepared? Why did this storm impact my area so severely?’ The answer comes down to community preparedness and resiliency planning, which the Hazard Mitigation Plan update helps solidify,” Emergency Management Coordinator
