COLUMBIA, Mo. (KCTV) - Extreme heat is expected to impact plans in the area this weekend and that extends to the University of Missouri, where the Tigers have a home football game.

Mizzou Football announced Thursday that kickoff for their Week 3 game against Louisiana has changed due to the anticipated extreme heat.

As ‘second summer’ returns to the area this weekend, temperatures could reach the mid-90s in the area, according to the First Warn 5 Weather Team.

Originally scheduled for 3 p.m., the game between the Tigers and Ragin’ Cajuns will now kick off at noon CT.

The game will air on ESPN+ and SEC Network+.

Mizzou said digital tickets will adjust automatically for fans.

The Tigers are 2-0 and ranked No. 25 in this week’s Associated Press Poll following a 42-31 win over Kansas.
