BISMARCK, ND (KXNET) — Football is back in Strasburg, and while it looks a little different, the energy around it is back like it never left.

"There's an excitement in the air in Strasburg," said David Von Boven, Head Coach of the Strasburg Clippers football team. Strasburg fielded a 9-man football team for over 40 years, but in 2019, the school made the difficult decision to co-op with neighboring Linton due to dwindling enrollment.

Now, after a six-year hiatus from football in Strasburg, a community effort led in part by Von Boven has enabled the school to join eight other North Dakota schools to play 6-man football.
