FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Community members gathered at the Law Enforcement and Firefighters Memorial in Fort Wayne Thursday morning to honor the lives lost during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

The ceremony, hosted by the REALTORS Young Professionals Network of the Upstate Alliance of REALTORS (UPSTAR), brought together first responders, local leaders, and residents to reflect on the tragedy and the resilience that followed.

At 10:15 a.m., roses were laid at the memorial as the Star-Spangled Banner was performed.

Attendees then walked with the American flag around Promenade Park before returning to the memorial to conclude the event.
