FREMONT, NEB. — The University of Jamestown women’s hockey team was unable to break through in a 6-0 loss to Midland University (Nebraska) on Thursday, Sept. 11, at the Warriors’ Sidner Ice Arena.
The Warriors (1-0) opened the scoring on a power play goal from Callie Maquire midway through the opening period before they added another one at the 17:15 mark of the period. The hosts added two more in the second to head into the third period up 4-0.
In the final frame, the Warriors were able to find the net twice to get the six-goal win.
