CLEVELAND (WJW) -- The FOX 8 I-Team uncovered what we had not heard before about the murder of Aliza Sherman.

That came out after a hearing about new testing of evidence and a possible delay in the trial.

The lawyer for the accused killer spoke in some detail in response to questioning from the I-Team.

Jon Paul Rion said, "There is no DNA whatsoever that connects Greg Moore to this case."

Cuyahoga County prosecutors recently indicted Gregory Moore for the murder of Aliza Sherman back in 2013.

Late Thursday, lawyers met for a short hearing. Afterward, the lead defense attorney told us why he wants additional DNA testing.
