Good Earth set for Indigenous Artists of the Prairie

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) -- Good Earth State Park is honoring its past and present with a special event.

Good Earth State Park is currently a relatively blank slate of nature but will look much different during Saturday's Indigenous Artists of the Prairie event.

"Indigenous artists of the Prairie at Good Earth State Park is our fourth annual event to honor the culture of the Indigenous people that are here. There was a big civilization back in about 1,700, where about 10,000 people were living here. We're trying to recreate and bring that environment back to the city," park naturalist Jen Stahl said.

The event is a celebration of culture and community, and there will be no shortage of things to see, do, or buy.

"So we have about 35 vendors, indigenous vendors, who will be selling their
