MINNEAPOLIS — For many younger republicans, conservative activist Charlie Kirk made them feel more comfortable expressing their beliefs.
Sebastian Stoss had the opportunity to meet Kirk during one of his speaking events in Detroit last year.
"He was an inspiration to me personally.”
Stoss says Kirk inspired him to follow his beliefs.
He now works in a field office for the Republican Party of Minnesota, door-knocking and meeting with potential voters.
"It's really made people kind of afraid to go out there and conduct activism out in public when there's a fear that we might get killed for it,” Stoss says.
Alex Plechash leads the Republican Party of Minnesota.
He is encouraging young people to stay engaged and for both parties to promote a message of unity.
