TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana State remembered 9/11 by joining in the National Day of Service on 9/11 with a stop and serve table.

Students who stopped at the table could fill a bag of hygiene products like toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoos, and more for local veterans and others in need of these products. Students could also fill out a good deed pledge card saying they will do a certain good deed either today or later this month.

Jessica Starr is the director for the Center for Community Engagement at Indiana State, and she said doing an event like this can be very important to help bring light to 9/11 to their students who might have even been born when 9/11 happened.
