(NewsNation) — A hearing has been set for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attorneys to argue for his acquittal or retrial on a pair of prostitution-related charges.

U.S. District Court judge Arun Subramanian scheduled the hearing for Sept. 25, according to ABC News. Subramanian presided over Combs’ summer trial.

A jury convicted Combs on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution under the Mann Act, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. He was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering and sex trafficking.

According to ABC News, federal prosecutors have argued that Combs doesn’t deserve a new trial or to be acquitted because "there was more than sufficient basis” for the guilty verdict.
