DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Going into Rob Wolfe’s shop can be a bit like looking in the rearview mirror.

“Honestly, the history, the history of things, the people we meet every day, those are the things that make you get up in the morning,” Wolfe said.

Many of those mornings, the “American Pickers” TV personality is trying to find the next treasure and the history behind it.

He brings back things worth thousands of dollars, but Wolfe things the real value is in something else.

“I get a chance every day to, I guess, live the history with these people when they’re telling you a story of something that happened maybe 80 years ago, we get to feel like we were part of that at that moment,“ Wolfe said.

Some might describe those decades as a lifetime, but Wolfe has a different perspective.
