The trial for an Australian man accused of smuggling drugs in Bali has begun with the accused facing the possibility of the death sentence.
Lamar Ahchee, 43, allegedly organised 1.7 kilograms of cocaine worth more than $1 million to be delivered to him in Bali in May .
He was charged with three drug offences, including importing drugs, which carries a maximum death sentence.
Ahchee’s legal team previously suggested he may have been set up.
His lawyer, Edward Pangkahlia, claimed someone else was behind the drug deal and said he wants the police to track down the person who allegedly incited his c
