SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Representative August Pfluger has released a tribute to the late conservative commentator and activist, Charlie Kirk, along with commemorating the 24th anniversary of 9/11.

Kirk was assassinated at Utah Valley University while engaging in an open debate with the student body. Pfluger released a message directly to the people of Texas District 11, addressing his thoughts on September 11 first.

"To my fellow residents in Texas-11, today is a somber day, Pfluger said. "And as we remember the anniversary of 9/11, 24 years ago, those who were senselessly murdered by terrorists, those who served and their families that sacrificed, and many who gave the ultimate sacrifice. We thank our service members and their families for keeping our country safe."
