HINTON, WV (WVNS) -- According to the West Virginia Department of Health, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women in West Virginia and the second-most common cancer-related cause of death.
One Summers County organization aims to help those diagnosed with breast cancer make the burden easier to bear.
Walk for Her Lifetime is a volunteer organization based in Summers County whose goal is to help those facing a breast cancer diagnosis with financial support through their battle.
Their biggest fundraiser of the year is an annual walk, which they've done for nearly 30 years.
Stacy Ford, a volunteer and breast cancer survivor, said the money raised from the walk can help take a lot of burdens off the person's plates.
"So, we can help with a whole gamut of things. So, ev
