INDIANAPOLIS — Thursday was the final day of TEDSports Indianapolis.
From Indiana Fever legend Tamika Catchings to the head of the NCAA, some of the biggest sports figures in the country were on the Old National Centre stage.
The NCAA spent a year working in and out of courts to negotiate a framework around name, image and likeness. That includes school-based revenue sharing and third-party NIL deals.
"We have a vehicle and a process that's been federally approved that works inside an injunction to provide revenue sharing by schools in Division I and a process for getting third-party NIL deals approved," said NCAA President Charlie Baker.
Baker said that process will create transparency.
