GAUTIER, Miss. (WLOX) - After almost 10 years as Gautier’s city manager, Paula Yancey is moving on to pursue new achievements.

During her tenure as city manager, Yancey oversaw many successes, such as the opening of The Sound Amphitheater, the acquisition of the former Singing River Mall site, major improvements to the city’s water and sewer infrastructure, and significant upgrades to recreational and boating facilities, among others.

Mayor Casey Vaughan gave the following statement:

“This decision is very difficult for me, but it’s one I’ve made after months of prayer and deliberation,” said Yancey. “I love this city, my staff, and all those who helped improve Gautier over the last decade. I will continue to watch Gautier thrive while I pursue the next chapter in my professional career
