PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A Washington man was sentenced to four years in prison on Thursday for sexually assaulting a developmentally disabled woman last year.

According to the Clackamas County District Attorney's Office, 36-year-old Darryl Anthony Pearson pled guilty to a charge of first-degree attempted sexual abuse in August.

The victim was a 37-year-old woman who was diagnosed with autism and fetal alcohol syndrome.

The original incident occurred on Sept. 16, 2024, when the victim told police Pearson had approached her at the shopping center, then offered her $100 to have sex with him. After she refused, he offered her a ride home, which she accepted. Pearson then drove her to a church parking lot in Gladstone, where he sexually assaulted her.
