NEW YORK — Anthony Volpe is out of the Yankees ’ starting lineup again on Thursday against the Tigers and this time, there’s more to it than the shortstop’s struggles.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone confirmed a report from the New York Post that Volpe was given a cortisone shot in his left shoulder on Wednesday.
