Whoopi Goldberg has no plans to retire from The View any time soon.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight , Goldberg, who's served as a co-host of the daytime television show for 18 seasons, said she won't be stepping away from her role due to monetary reasons.

“I can’t afford to retire,” Goldberg said. “If you don’t marry well, you got to keep working.”

Goldberg, who's been married three times, has been vocal in recent years about preferring to stay single . Despite appearing to be someone who could afford to stop working, the EGOT-winning actor said, "No, not by now. Not yet. I gotta keep paying those bills, baby."

Fellow cohost Joy Behar echoed Goldberg's sentiment, saying, “Creative people don’t retire, they don’t resign, they just keep going."
