The Northern Nevada Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested a Reno man after a monthslong investigation into suspected child sexual abuse images, authorities said.
The investigation began in March after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reported 46 files downloaded through a messaging app that investigators said showed minors, including infants.
Detectives traced the activity to a North Valleys home. Authorities searched the residence in July, seizing several devices. A forensic review in September found suspected child sexual abuse images, according to investigators.
Alfred Adams, 27, of Reno, was arrested and faces multiple felony charges, including distribution and possession of child sexual abuse images.
