EVERGREEN, Colo. – A shooting at Evergreen High School on Wednesday resulted in the death of one student and several others injured. Authorities reported that a student opened fire just after noon, shooting two classmates before turning the gun on himself. The shooter later died in the hospital.

Two other students remain hospitalized. One is in critical condition, while the other is stable. A fourth student was also taken to the hospital with injuries that remain unknown at this time.

Senator John Hickenlooper commented on the situation, expressing frustration over the current state of the nation.
