OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - On Thursday, an Oklahoma City Police Officer learned his fate regarding a domestic ordeal that landed him facing multiple charges.

According to court records, two years ago, Officer Kristopher Gellenbeck assaulted his son during an altercation with his ex-wife in a Target parking lot in North OKC.

Sergeant Kristopher Gellenbeck had been with the Oklahoma City Police Department for 10 years. He was part of the patrol unit covering the Hefner division.

Gellenbeck was arrested for: • Child Abuse • Domestic Assault and Battery in the Presence of a Child • Interfering with an Emergency Telephone Call

The DA's office says Gellenbeck grabbed his son by the throat, choking him until he almost lost his breath.
