BEDFORD – Home-course rounds at Otis Park have been rare for Bedford North Lawrence. The Stars have been on the road more than a touring rock band. So playing the back nine in competition was a chance to make some sweet swing music.
BNL hit the high notes with low scores while posting a 162-223 victory over Brownstown on Thursday afternoon. All four top scorers had birdies on the scorecard, and that always sounds good.
Kinleigh Root was the medalist with a 1-over 36 that included two birdies, and she had plenty of company in the red-figure club.
“It was a pretty solid round,” BNL coach Carly Stigall said. “We did a lot better job at recovering when we needed to, and played smarter golf as well.”
