When it comes to helping New York City children and families, the NYC Administration for Children’s Services does not rest. We currently contract with over 130 programs throughout New York City that offer what have been colloquially known as “prevention services.” These are a suite of services tailored to the needs of individual families, which include substance misuse treatment, family counseling, homemaking services, help with accessing concrete supports, public benefits and more. Last year, approximately 14,000 families with 30,000 children participated in these programs.
