Married At First Sight star Lachlan Rofe has died at the age of 47, spending his final years out of the limelight on his NSW farm.

Rofe was a NSW cattle farmer who appeared on Channel Nine's reality TV juggernaut in 2015 where he was paired with Clare Tamas, before starring on Channel Seven's rival show Farmer Wants A Wife the following year.

NSW Police confirmed Rofe died on Tuesday at his property in the town of Camden, 65 kilometres south-west of Sydney's CBD.

His cause of death is yet to be confirmed.

In a statement to SkyNews.com.au, a police spokesperson said emergency services were called to Old Razorback Road, Razorback, about 10 am on Tuesday after a man was found unresponsive in his home.
