STEVENSVILLE, Mich. -- At least 100 people or more, including veterans and first responders, attended the 9/11 Stevensville Stair Climb Thursday morning to honor those lost during the tragic terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
Climbing up and down the steps represent what it was like for first responders and people trapped in the Twin Towers that morning.
Steven Phenegar, co-organizer, stated, "It's an extremely important event to keep going. What's happening is we're about a generation past when the event happened in 2001 and we can't let that memory die, to just go into history books.
