LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The next Sphere residency has been announced.

At an event at The Wynn Golf Club Thursday evening, singer and songwriter Carin León was announced as the next big performer.

León gained popularity as a Mexican singer and songwriter. Officials say he’s the first Hispanic artist to have a residency at the venue.

He is set to perform from September 11-13 next year.

The Sphere has seen legendary artists take over the entertainment venue such as the Backstreet Boys , U2 , The Eagles , Phish and Dead & Company .
