FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — More aid is on the way for the victims of the Father's Day Flood in West Virginia as the Trump Administration has approved Public Assistance under FEMA, Gov. Morrisey announced Thursday night.

According to a release, Public Assistance has been approved for local governments in Marion and Ohio counties, unlocking supplemental grants for them and "certain private non-profits." These grants are set to cover the cost of debris removal, emergency response and infrastructure restoration.

The approval comes nearly two months after Individual Assistance was approved for victims in the affected areas. Gov. Morrisey expressed thanks to the Trump administration and said that this Public Assistance is "critical to aiding our recovery efforts" in
