WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - The city of Westfield held a ceremony on Thursday to honor three residents who died in the 9/11 terrorist attacks 24 years ago.
The ceremony took place at the Sons of Erin, where the community gathered to remember Tara Creamer, Dan Trant, and Brian Murphy, all of whom were Westfield residents lost in the attacks.
"Brian was a very outgoing young man and very enthusiastic about life," said Ann Murphy Fraro, sister to Brian Murphy. "He had two daughters; one had just turned five and one was four, and they are now a lawyer and in their last year of med school."
Brian Murphy was a vice president at Cantor Fitzgerald and was on the 104th floor of one of the towers during the attacks.
A memorial built shortly after 9/11 for the victims remains outside the Sons of Er
