SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The football teams of Jenkins and Pierce County picked up wins in separate games on Sept. 11.

Jenkins made another statement to Region 3-AAA. They rolled past Beach, 63-14. Jenkins remains perfect in the region, 3-0, and improves to 3-1 overall.

Their next game may be their toughest test of the season. They face Calvary Day, who is also still perfect in region play, on Sept. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

Pierce County earned a road victory against New Hampstead, 39-14. New Hampstead drops to 1-3 overall on the year.

New Hampstead has a week off before they start region play. The Phoenix begin region play at home against Perry.
