Biggar’s Emma Orr played her part as Scotland pushed table-topping Canada, but fell to a 40-19 defeat in their final Pool B game at the Women’s Rugby World Cup in England on Saturday.
The Scots had already qualified for the knock-out quarter-finals for the first time since 2002 and they face hosts England on Sunday.
Canada scored six tries to Scotland’s three as the group stages ended in defeat at Sandy Park, but with wins over Wales and Fiji – and Orr scoring in both – Scotland more than earned their place.
Scotland knew they would face the winners of a Pool A clash between England and Australia, with the hosts posting a record 47-7 win.
The two home nations will clash in Bristol on Sunday.
Before the tournament, Emma spoke of her pride at carrying on the rugby tradition
