The Green Bay Packers will be without wide receiver Jayden Reed for the foreseeable future.

Reed was ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Washington Commanders with a shoulder injury in the first quarter. Packers coach Matt LaFleur confirmed after the game that the 25-year-old suffered a fractured collarbone.

The injury occurred when Reed caught a 39-yard touchdown pass, later negated by a penalty, as Commanders’ Quan Martin hauled him down in a tackle. Reed appeared to be in pain as he left the field and was ruled out shortly thereafter.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that the Packers hope the injury timeline will be six to eight weeks.

Reed had three catches, 45 yards and one touchdown in the Packers’ Week 1 win against the Detroit Lions.
