Two men have been charged following a shooting in Derrimut earlier this month that resulted in the death of a 20-year-old man.

Emergency services were alerted after the 20-year-old from Tarneit was taken to St Albans Hospital at 2.35am on September 4.

He died in hospital shortly after from the injuries sustained in the shooting.

Following the incident, a 26-year-old Cranbourne man and a 25-year-old Narre Warren man were arrested after a pursuit on September 7.

The pair were questioned by police in relation to the Derrimut shooting and multiple other incidents, including a fatal shooting in Ivanhoe on September 2, a stabbing in Wyndham Vale on September 4, and an attempted carjacking in South Yarra that same day.
