GREEN BAY — As a wincing Jayden Reed made his way to the Green Bay Packers sideline, clearly in pain and holding his right arm close to his body as he ran, it was difficult not to fear the worst.
Even Packers legend Charles Woodson, watching on TV, was concerned — having become an expert in broken collarbones, including suffering one during the team’s Super Bowl XLV victory 15 years ago.
As it turned out, those fears were warranted. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur, who oftentimes shares limited injury information after games, confirmed that the third-year wide receiver did indeed break his collarbone during the Packers’ 27-18 victory over the Washington Commanders on Thursday night.
Reed, who led the Packers in receptions and receiving yards in both 2023 and 2024 — and had a team-best t
