South West told to prepare three essential items ahead of weather warning

A "danger to life" weather warning has been issued across the South West of England as the Met Office urges those in affected areas to prepare three essential items.

A yellow weather warning, in place from 8pm on Sunday, September 14, until 6pm the following day, advises Brits of "a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris". Rain is also expected.

The Met Office explained: "An area of low pressure will bring a prolonged spell of windy weather through Sunday evening and into Monday.
