When one of the Lawson siblings joined a local Upward Bound program, none of them anticipated just how much the family’s educational future would be impacted.

Alliyah, a Miller High School student at the time, applied for the Family Centered Educational Agency’s Upward Bound Math and Science program, which offered her mentorship guiding her through the college application process.
