A girl has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a van near a Scots primary school.
Emergency crews raced to Coltness Road in Wishaw before 9am yesterday (Thursday September 11) after receiving a report of a vehicle being in a collision with a young female pedestrian.
Alongside a police presence, an ambulance rapid response unit and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene which was near two primary schools - St Aidan's Primary School and Calderbridge Primary School.
An 11-year-old girl was seen over by medical personnel before being transported to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
Police Scotland have finished their enquiries into the incident and no further action from the force is being taken.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers
