BOISE — After two weeks of Timberline’s offense flashing on the field, it was the defense’s turn to make a statement.

The Wolves earned two big wins to open the season, but with the offense sputtering Thursday night against Boise, the defense needed to hold things down while their elite aerial attack found form.

Timberline never led by more than seven points. That ended up being the difference as the defense prevented the Brave from piecing together a fourth quarter comeback drive. The Wolves were able to run out the last four-plus minutes of the game for a 20-13 win over their Boise School District at Dona Larsen Park, snapping a three-game losing streak in the series and spoiling Boise's homecoming night.
