Five new defibrillators have been installed in Kirkcudbright after a campaign raised more than £7,000.
The Merse Defibrillator Fund was launched after residents were concerned the closure of the town’s bridge earlier this year would leave them stranded if there was an emergency.

At the time of the closure, the Merse side of the bridge didn’t have a defibrillator.
But that has changed after the campaign raised a phenomenal £7,253.
