The body of a 15-year-old boy who had been missing in Dauphin County for days was recovered from the Susquehanna River on Thursday, Pennsylvania State Police said.

William Peters was reported missing Monday after he was last seen around 8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Myo Park Road in Upper Paxton Township, officials said. The road borders the Wiconisco Creek, which connects to the Susquehanna River.

On Wednesday, police said the search was expanded into Halifax Township as well as Buffalo, Liverpool and Watts townships in Perry County. The boy had high-functioning autism, according to the release.

State police said there are “no suspicious circumstances” in the investigation, which is ongoing.
