CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – An annual motorcycle ride honoring 9/11 victims and heroes will take place in Charleston County on Saturday.
Event organizers say the ride is a chance for the Lowcountry to stand in remembrance, healing, and community pride.
Hundreds of patriotic riders will gather at Lowcountry Harley Davidson in North Charleston beginning at 8 a.m. There will be a prayer and a message about safety, before kickstands go up and the convoy begins at 11 a.m.
Riders will have a police escort as they travel a predetermined route around the Lowcountry that organizers say should take roughly an hour.
Officials with the South Carolina Department of Transportation announced that the Ben Sawyer Bridge will be temporarily closed to marine navigation on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to
