'The Phantom Tollbooth' at NOVA
In case your calendar is broken, you could reset it to September by realizing that community theater, which stays mostly dormant for the summer, is back. Last week "Frozen" premiered at BST and this week the NOVA Center for the Performing Arts is joining the fun. NOVA's 13th season kicks off on Friday, Sept. 12 with "The Phantom Tollbooth." Based on the children's novel that was one of those books you checked out from the elementary school library if all the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" books had already been claimed, the play is just chock full of wordplay and clever, accessible ideas for all ages.
