Multiple lanes are shut on the M1 northbound this afternoon (Friday, September 12) following a crash. The incident has happened between Junction 23 for Loughborough and Junction 23A for East Midlands Airport.

Highways England says lanes two and three of three are closed, with Nottinghamshire Police at the scene. Delays of at least 50 minutes are reported, with traffic monitoring service Inrix adding that congestion is also affecting the southbound side.
