GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The Green Bay Packers’ 27-18 win over the Washington Commanders came at a cost for the green and gold.
Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed after the game that wide receiver Jayden Reed broke his collarbone.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Reed is expected to be out for six to eight weeks. He could return in November.
Reed’s injury came early in the first quarter. Reed caught a 39-yard touchdown pass. He landed hard on his side, and then a Washington safety landed on top of him.
He joins fellow wide receiver Christian Watson in recovery. Watson suffered an ACL tear towards the end of last season.
The Packers are off to a 2-0 start this season.
