GUILDLERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Guilderland man was accused of having child sex abuse images and arrested on August 7. Charles Markose, 40, was charged with promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Markose was arrested following a State Police investigation and the execution of a search warrant at his Guilderland home. Troopers said they began investigating after getting a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The suspect surrendered himself to State Police before being arraigned in Guilderland Town Court and placed in the Albany County Correctional Facility.
